VISN-1 Geriatric Mental Health Conference Presents:
Aging Here and Together: Addressing the Mental Health Needs of Diverse Veterans
Presenter: Amy Kind, MD, PhD
We are pleased to share that the inaugural VISN-1 Geriatric Mental Health Conference, “Aging Here and Together: Addressing the Mental Health Needs of Diverse Veterans” is being held on April 4th from 8:30-3:30pm via Zoom. CE credits will be available for psychology, psychiatry, social work, nurse practitioners, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, and dietitian/nutrition. This conference will include a presentation from our keynote speaker, Dr. Amy Kind, MD, PhD, who is a leader in the field of geriatrics and health disparities research. In addition, we will have presentations from VISN-1 leaders about strategic initiatives for geriatric mental health care at VA and the Age-Friendly framework. We will have multiple breakout rooms to connect with and discuss these issues with fellow colleagues providing geriatric mental health care across the VISN. The event will be held virtually via Zoom.
