Late-life Anxiety: Identification and Cognitive Behavioral Treatment
Thursday, October, 12, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET
Presenter(s): Melinda A. Stanley, Ph.D., and Terri Barrera, Ph.D.
The purpose of the Meeting the Mental Health Needs of Aging Veterans: Research and Practice webinar series is to build and maintain awareness about evidence-based geriatric mental health care among VHA interprofessional clinical staff. The Veteran population is aging, and many Vietnam-era Veterans are entering their 60’s and 70’s. This series will highlight geriatric mental health research and its application to clinical practice in VHA.
With this training, participants will be able to:
1. discuss the unique features of anxiety in late-life;
2. list at least three appropriate tools to aid in the screening and diagnosis of late-life anxiety;
